Welcome to “Skypecasted”

Skypecasted was created for the actor, who has his or her sights set on accelerating their careers through meeting targeted industry professionals. This unique forum is set up so one on one meetings take place with Agent, Casting and the Actor via webcam. We hope Skypecasted will reduce the amount of hassle and fuss of mailing unsolicted hard copy and reels, as well as the amount of gas and drive time all over town fighting traffic and then finding parking. We do not promise employment nor do we garantee results. We simply facilitate the meeting between to consenting parties.

Sign up is Easy.

All you need is a good internet connection, a webcam with audio and video and the latest version of Skype Downloaded and installed on your computer.

Sessions are Fun.

After selecting your sessions you will be emailed back confirmations and times as well as 3-5 scenes to select from to read with Casting or the Agent. You will need to reply back with the scene you decided on and attach your headshot and resume.

A “Skypecasted Adminsitrator” will contact you via Skype on your scheduled session time and facilate the session between you and the Casting Director or Agent.

The “Skypecasted Adminisrator” will always be available off camera or on in the “Skype Chat box” should you need them or have questions before and after.

Most sessions run for 6-12 mins

After your session we will email you all the contact information the Casting Director or Agent supplied as well as any other additional notes or reccomendations.

Why we are different

We understand nothing replaces an industry referral, a personal referral or just plain getting called in because someone is interested in your services as an Actor. We also understand that nothing will replace meeting or reading with someone face to face in person. We are not trying to replace either of those. What we are trying to do is make Life easier for everyone involved. Think about it . . . You are meeting someone for the first time, but instead of dealing with other people's energy in the waiting room or the annoyance of being out of your element. You meet someone on neutral turf. You are in the comfort of your own home, they are in the comfort of their own home or office. You both do not have to deal with anyone else'e energy except your own. Only Sincere attention being placed on both of you and nothing else. There is a unique kind of reconigition and honesty when meeting someone via webchat as opposed to in person. Perhaps we are more truthful because our guard is down or because we are more comfortable. We can't explain what that is, but it is there. All we can really explain it to is, the Camera truely doesn't lie. That goes for both parties involved. We pride ourselves on treating all parties as equals.
